A Plant Grows in Philly — Roxborough Cinder Company

In the 1940s, Roxborough Cinder Co. had begun building its own stationary crushing plant in mostly undeveloped Northeast Philadelphia to process cinder and other material. The Conduit & Foundation Company assisted with the steel erection of the plant using a Bay City crane. Also note the use of a Barber Greene bucket loader for conveying material to a dump truck.
