Leonard Iacono of Daisy Construction Company was presented with ABC Delaware’s most prestigious award, the 2000 Charter Cup, during the association’s annual Charter Night dinner at the DuPont Country Club in March.

The 2000 Associate/Supplier Member of the Year was presented to Charmaine Imburgia of K-Video Productions for her support of ABC Delaware and its activities.

“These two individuals truly embody the spirit of ABC and the Merit Shop philosophy,” said ABC Executive Director Ed Capodanno. “It’s members like Leonard and Charmaine that make ABC Delaware the strong, active and outstanding organization it is.”

The Charter Cup is presented annually to the ABC contractor member who exemplifies the true meaning of the Merit Shop philosophy and has contributed to the success of the association.

“Leonard speaks loud and clear for Merit Shop,” said Capodanno. “His company is a charter member of ABC and he served on the board for six years including holding the office of president. His company has volunteered time, materials and labor for various ABC projects. An active member in the political process, Leonard developed and implemented the ABC Delaware Political Action Committee and continues to serve on the ABC Legislative and Legal Rights Committee.”

The Associate/Supplier Member of the Year is given to the member that has made a significant contribution to the association through member participation including committee involvement and sponsorship of ABC events.

“Since joining ABC Delaware in 1991, Charmaine and her company have been actively involved in ABC,” said Capodanno. “As chair of the Public Relations Committee, she helped develop our highly successful Excellence in Construction Awards program and has donated the time and production for the 20-minute winners video for the last four years. Charmaine also regularly attends all ABC dinner meetings and volunteers at the ABC LPGA Hospitality Tent and the ABC Golf Outing in July.”
