"For AED's 2017 Summit & Construction Dealer Expo (CONDEX), we are going back to our roots in Chicago," said Brian P. McGuire, President and CEO of AED in a statement dated 11/10/16. "I would like to personally invite you to my hometown for this exciting event. Much has changed since Summit began at the Edgewater Hotel in 1920 and we can't wait for you to see what we have in store."

Attendees have the opportunity to gain important industry insight on all three days of Summit, which is the only industry event with dealer-specific education. They can choose from over seven learning tracks, with more than 35 dealer education sessions to meet everyone's needs. During this time, we will also provide exclusive insight on how to make the most out of your 2017 CONEXPO-CON/AGG experience.

The AED Foundation Fundraising Gala will be off site this year at one of Chicago's notorious speakeasies, Untitled Supper Club. The Gala will bring back the roaring twenties in Great Gatsby style. The proceeds will help The AED Foundation continue to provide professional development, workforce education, research and school accreditation. In addition, the Lester J. Heath, III Award, named after The AED Foundation's first President, will be presented to an individual who has provided continuous dedication, support and commitment to The AED Foundation and the construction equipment industry.

The 2017 conference will also include exciting new events that guests and attendees will have the option of attending. The first tour will give you the opportunity to explore the historic Macy's store. Recognized as a National Register of Historic Places, this building once housed the iconic Marshall Field's store. Take the opportunity to eat and shop your way through this beautiful location. If you would rather, an ethnic food tour will give you a look at Chicago history beyond the typical Chicago fare and into neighborhood and local joints.

We also have some new technological changes coming your way for Summit & CONDEX. We want to make your experience at this event easier and more convenient, so we will be giving you a way to keep track of your time at your fingertips. Look out for emails within the next month to hear about our exciting announcement.

AED's Summit & CONDEX is the perfect way to improve your dealership's productivity through education and networking with industry peers. Experience all of the new and unique opportunities that hosting an event like Summit in Chicago will provide.
