Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) promoted Liz McCabe to vice president of education and programs.

"I am pleased to announce the promotion of Liz McCabe to the position of vice president of education and programs," said AED President and CEO Brian McGuire.

"In her new role, Liz will oversee The AED Foundation staff responsible for our accreditation, apprenticeship and seminar development. In a few months, she will also assume responsibility for overseeing The AED Foundation fundraising staff and consultants. In addition, she will serve on the AED management team.

"Prior to this promotion, McCabe was senior director of education and programming, where she managed conference programming and the Leadership Development Institute, and all live and online AED Foundation management programs.

McCabe began her career in education as a fourth-grade teacher in Chicago with Teach for America, working with both Chicago Public Schools and the charter school system. After leaving the classroom, she joined the Technology and Manufacturing Association (TMA),where she managed the organization's training and education programs, including hands-on technical training and its storied apprentice training program.

"Liz McCabe has been a consummate professional during her time at AED and is well-deserving of this promotion," said AED Executive Vice President and COO Jason Blake.
