CONEXPO 2017

Commitment to delivering a top-quality show experience and superior customer service were key to earning “fast-growth” awards from the exhibitions industry recently, says the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM).

AEM won Fastest 50 honors for the exhibit size of CONEXPO-CON/AGG and number of exhibitors and Next 50 kudos for ICUEE-The Demo Expo's growth in exhibiting companies. Both shows, held in 2017, attracted near-record attendance.

Trade Show Executive (TSE) magazine presents the awards to exhibitions that demonstrate the greatest percentage of growth show-to-show. The Fastest 50 “led the pack” said TSE, and the Next 50 “grew impressively … but at a slightly steadier pace.”

“These awards recognize our commitment to creating real value for exhibitors and attendees – we are continually striving to help participants achieve and exceed their show goals,” said Dana Wuesthoff, AEM vice president for exhibitions and events services and 2020 CONEXPO-CON/AGG show director.

“We greatly appreciate this recognition on behalf of our team of dedicated professionals both at AEM and our show services providers – and on behalf of our exhibitors and attendees, and their valued support.”

Wuesthoff was named vice president last year and helped spearhead AEM's expanded emphasis on enhancing customer connections between attendees and exhibitors that included:

• Enhanced coordination of AEM's registration, housing, meetings and operations functions into an Events Services department that also emphasizes the latest technology tools; and
• Initiation of an Exhibitor Engagement department that provides companies with a centralized resource to navigate the tools and information they need to fully participate in AEM trade shows as well as offer show-related feedback.

Mark Your Calendar: 2019 ICUEE and 2020 CONEXPO-CON/AGG

The next ICUEE-The Demo Expo will be held Oct. 1-3, 2019 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville.

The biennial show, also known as the International Construction & Utility Equipment Exposition, focuses on utility professionals and construction contractors. The 2017 ICUEE featured nearly 1.24 million net sq. ft. of exhibits, 1,000-plus exhibitors and nearly 18,000 registered attendees.

The next CONEXPO-CON/AGG, held every three years for the construction industries, will kick off March 10-14, 2020 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas.

The 2017 CONEXPO-CON/AGG featured more than 2.6 million net sq. ft. of exhibits, more than 2,300 exhibitors and nearly 128,000 registered attendees.
