Two of the Association of Equipment Manufacturer's (AEM) team members have been recognized by the International Association of Exhibitions and Events' (IAEE) "20 Under 30" recognition program. Those individuals are AEM Event Operations and Technology Coordinator Brianne Deja and AEM Sales Coordinator Sara Stromski.
"We're extremely proud of Sara and Brianne and all of our staff here at AEM," said Megan Tanel, executive vice president at AEM. "We know the great work our team does every day to support the agricultural and construction equipment industry, and this recognition from IAEE shows our efforts are seen just as positively by industry professionals as it is by our own leadership."
As a sales coordinator, Stromski assists the AEM sales team with tradeshow space and sponsorship, as well as serving as an additional point of contact for exhibitors at AEM's award-winning exhibitions, the International Construction & Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE Demo Expo), World of Asphalt, and ConExpo-Con/AGG and the co-located International Fluid Power Expo (IFPE). Stromski started with AEM as an intern during her sophomore year at Carroll University as a Business Management major, and was hooked on AEM after experiencing ConExpo-Con/AGG and IFPE 2017, North America's largest construction trade show.
"I am honored and excited to be recognized by IAEE's 20 Under 30," Stromski said. "I am looking forward to the career enhancement opportunities this award presents, such as attending ExpoExpo and meeting the other honorees. Above all, I am so thankful I found AEM and ignited my passion for exhibitions and events."
As operations and technology coordinator, Deja manages event floor plans and exhibitor placement, sponsorships, transportation and wayfinding, and a lot more for AEM's exhibitions. Deja started with AEM as an intern for ConExpo-Con/AGG and IFPE 2017, and was offered her current role shortly after. She said she learned how to handle high-pressure situations working in ambulatory services for a major southeast Wisconsin healthcare provider.
"I am truly grateful to IAEE for extending this honor," said Deja. "I am excited to interact with my fellow industry peers and look forward to the professional growth this opportunity will bring. It is a truly amazing industry that I am very passionate about and I have AEM to thank for that."
