Construction Equipment Guide

Since adding Gehl equipment to its product line two years ago, the people at Air Equipment Rental Corp. have been impressed by the results of the relationship.

Impressed enough to add even more Gehl products, including the company’s skid loaders, compact loader, excavators, telescopic handlers and asphalt pavers, to its inventory in the northeastern Ohio markets.

Founded by John Hart in 1991 as a distributor for Sullair catering to the Pittsburgh, PA, region, Air Equipment Rental focused mainly on diesel-driven air compressors and air tools.

The company quickly branched into several Ohio markets, including Cleveland, Cincinnati and Columbus, due in large part to the efforts of Vice President Rick St. Julian.

In 2004, St. Julian began researching equipment lines that would compliment and enhance Air Equipments’ efforts and found Gehl to be the perfect fit. He encouraged second-generation company owner J. Brian Hart to explore a working relationship with Gehl because of the company’s comprehensive equipment offering and product quality.

St. Julian saw that Gehl has all the resources of a national company, including high-end engineering, production and product support.

The bulk of the Gehl equipment will be available at AER Loader & Excavator in Painesville, OH, overseen by Branch Manager John Sivon. With more than 30 years of experience in the business, Sivon handles Air Equipment Rental’s full line, including Sullair diesel-driven air compressors, Stone compaction equipment, CE Attachments and Millonzi International Products Attachments for Cuyahoga, Lake and Geauga counties.
