Alban Equipment's annual sale and expo is in the books, another year for the successful Cat-A-Thon. This marks Alban's 13th year hosting this event, and each year the company figures out a way to keep the crowds entertained, while also giving them time to browse an extensive inventory of well-priced yellow iron.

With more than $50 million in inventory for sale and over 550 items available, customers were in for great deals during the red tag sale.

Included in the sale were articulated dump trucks; backhoes; CTL's/skid steers; dozers; mini-excavators; excavators; wheeled excavators; multi-terrain loaders; motorgraders; rollers; telehandlers; wheel loaders; and track loaders.

Alban always allows manufacturers they represent to showcase their equipment or services during this event and this year was no different. More than 20 vendors filled the area to tout different options for customers, including Broce Broom; Curry Supply Co.; HydrauliCircuit; JLG; REMU; ProTech; Rototilt; SITECH; Towmaster; Wacker Neuson; Weiler; and Screen Machine.

In addition to outside vendors, Alban includes many internal divisions, including parts, Chesapeake Rebuild, EM Solutions, Power System Rentals, Reman and more.

Guests were treated to a delicious BBQ lunch, ice cream, soft drinks and other treats throughout the day. Alban also gave away $500 parts and service gift cards to two lucky winners.

The stars of the show were the new Caterpillar Next Generation Machines, which included the Cat D6 and D6 XE Next Gen dozers; Cat 289D3 CTL; Cat 262D3 skid steer; Cat 336 GC Next Gen excavator.

Caterpillar has been showcasing the new machines across the United States this past year with various different events and tours hosted by local dealerships. Accompanying these machines were Caterpillar Corporate All Stars Ryan Neal, the North American excavator product specialist, and Sam Meeker, the North American dozer product specialist.

While Neal answered customer questions Meeker was on hand to show off the D6 and D6 XE. CEG
