Construction Equipment Guide

Alban Tractor is inviting construction and trucking companies to attend an open house at its new Upper Marlboro facility on April 21. The hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with plenty of good food and lots of special activities, free drawings and gifts.

Alban is the dealership for Caterpillar in Maryland, Delaware, D.C., Northern Virginia and West Virginia Panhandle.

Alban will be giving away a 216B skid steer loader valued at $24,000. To be entered in this featured drawing, qualified companies must pre-register by calling Allen Shock at 410/718-3878 and then a representative must attend the open house to receive its SSL Lotto Ticket — one per company.

The drawing will be held at 5:30 p.m. — winners do not have to be present at drawing time but they must have both pre-registered and visited the registration table on site by that time to be eligible.

Other attractions include the display of OCC Cat Chopper on site as well as the NASCAR No. 22 Cat car.

Visitors can try a hand at operating simulated Cat equipment or even get in the seat of a SSL to navigate an obstacle course. There will be many demonstrations and exhibits to showcase the variety of products and services offered by the dealership.

Alban Tractor is located at 8400 Westphalia Rd. at exit 11A (Pennsylvania Avenue east) off the Washington Beltway.

The new 16-acre complex has been open for business since the beginning of the year. The 102,000-sq.-ft. facility includes 18 truck service bays, two bays dedicated to RVs, and 15 oversized tractor bays that accommodate 40 to 60 various types of construction equipment.
