Alex Lyon & Son Begins Annual Florida Auction Buying Spree

Alex Lyon & Son held its annual Florida Auctions from Feb. 2 through Feb. 10 in Kissimmee, Fla.

The nine-day auction featured a wide variety of equipment types each day, including, but not limited to:

Recreational and utility vehicles, generators, skid steer attachments on Day 1;
Survey equipment, several new tagalongs & utility trailers, several mini-hydraulic excavators and skid steers on Day 2;
Boom and scissor lifts, landscape equipment, several mini-hydraulic excavators, trench boxes and new tools and support equipment on Day 3;
Agricultural — utility — compact and loader landscape tractors, concrete equipment, utility carts, chippers and stump grinders and agricultural attachments on Day 4;
Rough-terrain cranes, carry deck — hydraulic truck cranes, tower cranes, crawler cranes, hydraulic pile drivers and crane accessories on Day 5;
Rubber-tired loaders, tractor loader backhoes, motor scrapers, motorgraders, articulated haul trucks, straight haul trucks and asphalt and vibratory rollers on Day 6;
Hydraulic excavators, rubber-tired hydraulic excavators, scrap handling excavators, crawler tractors, crawler loaders, pipe layers, and tractor loader backhoes on Day 7;
Dump trucks (tri-tandem-single), truck tractors, cab and chassis, rolloff trucks, rollback trucks, bucket trucks, cement mixer trucks, refuse trucks, military tanks, military trucks, pickup trucks and utility trucks on Day 8; and
Recreational and utility vehicles, compact construction equipment, generators, pumps, tires and more than 1,000 attachments on Day 9. CEG

A great lineup of small and mid-sized Caterpillar excavators was available on the seventh day of the nine-day sale.

You never know from year to year what entertainment Jack Lyon will provide at the annual Kissimmee auction. Construction Equipment Guide’s Southeast Sales Representative Rich Olivier (C) became part of the act and we can report was not hit by a juggler.

Several long reach excavators were auctioned off on day seven of the Alex Lyon & Son 26th annual Kissimmee, Fla., sale.
