ALL Crane Rental Corp. of Columbus, Ohio, a member of the ALL Family of Companies, received two awards for outstanding safety performance at the 2008-2009 Awards Banquet held by the Safety Council of Greater Columbus.

The 100% Award was presented to ALL for “No Recordable Incidents or Accidents in 2008” and the Achievement Award was given for a 25 percent or greater reduction in the company’s Experience Modification Rate over the preceding recorded year, denoting a huge improvement in the safety performance of the company. Al Haycraft, safety manager of All Crane Rental Corp., accepted the awards for the company.

Michael Liptak, president of the ALL Family of Companies, said, “We consider safety to be one of the most valuable services we offer our customers. We don’t simply see safety as a task to be accomplished, but as a culture — a way of conducting business — to be embraced. We thank the Safety Council of Greater Columbus for recognizing our efforts.”

The Safety Council of Greater Columbus is one of 80 safety councils in Ohio sponsored by the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation’s Division of Safety & Hygiene.

ALL Presents Crane

Safety Program

Two safety directors from the ALL Family of Companies presented a well-received program at this year’s Ohio Safety Congress, hosted by the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Division of Safety & Hygiene and held from March 31 to April 2 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Al Haycraft, safety director of ALL Crane Rental Corp. of Columbus, Ohio, and Jason Thomas, safety director of ALL Crane & Equipment Rental of St. Albans, W.Va., presented to 105 attendees. They discussed how ALL helps contractors determine the correct crane for a particular job and how to ensure the equipment is safe operation on their job site. The presentation also included a demonstration of a complete daily safety inspection by a trained and certified crane operator and a discussion of worker safety when cranes are present on a job.

Established in 1927, the Ohio Safety Congress is a three-day annual event that helps businesses learn to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses, reduce workers’ compensation claims costs, and meet training needs. The event usually attracts more than 5,000 participants.
