Construction Equipment Guide

Allmand’s solar flashing arrowboard, the Eclipse AB 2220, features a standard 50-watt or optional 100-watt class solar panel array that charges a commercial deep-cycle battery to deliver efficient, dependable performance.

Ultra high-efficiency high-visibility PAR 46 size LED lamps with 1-watt power consumption offer long, lasting cost effective performance backed by a 5-year warranty.

While the battery compartment provides space for as many as four 8D batteries, the standard single battery model will operate for as much as 23 days with no solar recharge in single flashing arrow mode, or as much as a year of continuous unattended 24/7 operation in typical solar conditions, according to the manufacturaer.

Whether in operation or in the stowed position, the solar panels constantly face skyward to continuously collect the sun’s energy and charge the batteries.

A straight removable drawbar provides a tighter turning radius and includes a height-adjustable, combination 2 in. (5 cm) ball coupler/3 in. (7.6 cm) pintle hitch that allows it to adapt to a variety of towing vehicles.

The trailer and sign design are available in 15 or 25-lamp models to meet varying state regulations, and each model meets or exceeds all current provisions of the Federal Highway Administration Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD 2009 Edition, Section 6F.61).
