In 2025, Anderson Equipment Company is celebrating its 90th anniversary — a milestone few in the construction equipment industry achieve.

Since its founding in 1935, Anderson has grown from a small regional supplier to a respected equipment dealer in the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic United States, with a reputation for customer commitment, quality products and deep industry knowledge, according to the company.

What began as a single-location dealership serving contractors in western Pennsylvania has evolved into a multi-state operation with 19 locations across Pennsylvania, New York, West Virginia, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. The company represents leading manufacturers such as Komatsu, Takeuchi and Dynapac, offering sales, rentals, parts and service to contractors in construction, mining, forestry and municipal sectors.

"The strength of Anderson Equipment lies not only in the machines we sell and support, but in the relationships we build," said Judy Anderson, president of Anderson Equipment. "We've always believed that the foundation of our business is trust. For 90 years, we've focused on helping our customers succeed by understanding their needs and delivering reliable equipment solutions that get the job done."

Over the decades, Anderson has continually adapted to industry changes — from the early days of cable-operated machines to today's GPS-enabled and emissions-compliant equipment, added Anderson.

"We've embraced technology to better serve our customers, including advanced fleet management tools, remote diagnostics, and expanded online support," she said.

But even as the industry has evolved, Anderson Equipment said its core values have remained unchanged: integrity, service, and partnership. These principles have guided three generations of leadership and continue to define the company's future.

"As Anderson Equipment celebrates 90 years in business, we remain focused on growth, innovation and supporting the next generation of equipment professionals," said Anderson.

Plans for 2025 include continued investments in technician training, facility upgrades and expanding its rental fleet to meet changing contractor demands, according to the company.

"From humble beginnings to becoming a regional powerhouse, Anderson Equipment's 90-year journey is a testament to the power of perseverance, customer focus, and passion for the construction industry," said Anderson. "Here's to the next 90 years of helping build the roads, bridges and communities of tomorrow." CEG
