On April 2 and 3, Asphalt Care Equipment Inc. held its 2004 Trade Show at the Pennsylvania Army National Reserve in Northeast Philadelphia, near I-95 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

The show, now in its fourth year, drew hundreds of contractors to Philadelphia to check out products such as asphalt paving equipment, line striping/marking, seal coating, crackfilling, joint repair, sealing, sweeping, asphalt patch/pothole repair, site preparation and traffic control. Several exhibitors also conducted outdoor demonstrations.

In addition, guests could attend training seminars on line striping, seal coating, and paving.

Dave Fackler, president of Asphalt Care Equipment, owned a successful paving company prior to founding his Bensalem, PA-based company, and his paving expertise was evident by the well rounded show.

Exhibitors were pleased with both the turnout and the buying climate at the show. “People came prepared to buy and take advantage of the show prices. This has been a good show for us again this year,” said John Stuart, district manager of the Eastern U.S. Region of Ingersoll-Rand.

Ron Cournia, northeast regional manager of Billy Goat, said that he had sold a small paving machine within just the first half-hour of the show. “The customer had a presale form, which was distributed during registration. The form listed the products for sale at show prices and discounts. The customer already knew what he wanted when he came to my booth,” he said.

Asphalt Care Equipment, which also has a branch in Doylestown, PA, is a full-service distributor of asphalt equipment and supplies.
