Construction Equipment Guide

With the MB 1500 Atlas Copco is completing its range of medium-size hydraulic breakers. Its design turns the breaker into a universally applicable tool for demolition, trenching or quarrying work. Its shape makes it versatile and maneuverable, according to the manufacturer.

The MB 1500 hydraulic breaker operates without a high-pressure accumulator, reducing the number of moving components. StartSelect allows the start-up and shutdown of the breaker to be adapted to the specific application characteristics. Also included is AutoControl, which ensures the maximum percussion power in all operating conditions.

The MB 1500 joins the medium-size range of Atlas Copco hydraulic breakers and is the supplement for the MB 1200 with its 1.3 ton (1.2 t) service weight and for the MB 1700 with its 1.9 ton (1.7 t) service weight.

“Power, reliability and low maintenance were the benchmarks for the designers who developed the MB 1500. A product has evolved which is distinguished by its versatile application, its slim design and its extremely high efficiency,” said Torsten Treger, product line manager medium and heavy breakers.
