Atlas Copco Construction Tools has announced the addition of Columbus Equipment Co. as its new distributor of hydraulic breakers in Ohio.

In business since 1952, Columbus Equipment Co. currently has nine locations throughout Ohio that will sell, service and support Atlas Copco’s complete line of hydraulic breakers — all featuring Krupp percussion technology. This line includes 15 models with energy classes ranging from 200 to 15,000 ft./lbs., the largest production hydraulic breakers in the world, according to the manufacturer.

“We are pleased to add Columbus Equipment Company to our network of Atlas Copco dealers,” said Peter Bigwood, president of Atlas Copco Construction Tools Inc. “Combining our proven line of hydraulic breakers with Columbus Equipment’s industry experience and its reputation for exceptional sales and service equates to a win-win situation for our customers.”

Atlas Copco Construction Tools Inc. is a manufacturer of hydraulic breakers with products ranging from smaller hand-held tools up to the largest weight class carrier attachments. Until last year, Krupp hammer technology was available in the United States under the Allied brand. Following Atlas Copco’s acquisition of Krupp’s hammer business, the line is now being exclusively marketed under the Atlas Copco brand.
