Bane Machinery Houston held its grand opening on April 24. The event took place at the company’s facility located on 505 Rankin Road in Houston.

More than 25 New Holland and Kobelco units from large excavators, dozers, wheel loaders, backhoe loaders to skid steers were on display along with many manufacturers and suppliers. These products included Eco-crushers, Interstate trailers, Geith attachments, Allied hydraulic hammers and Apache Oil Company.

Bane Machinery provided a barbeque lunch, multiple door prizes and country music delivered by radio station 93Q to more than 150 customers. The radio station did an onsite broadcast promoting the grand opening.

Aaron Turner of Bob’s Construction Co. Inc. in Willis, Texas, won the skid steer contest based on maneuvering through obstacles.

Attendees also had an opportunity to tour the facility and to have “hands on” usage of the equipment.

Dignitaries include Terrence Sheehan, president, Kobelco America; Edgar Chavez, director of sales and marketing, New Holland; Dean Shaw, director of sales, and Ray Villarreal, director of dealer development, both of Kobelco.

“We were most pleased to see so many customers attend to welcome us to Houston,” said Scott Bane, president of Bane Machinery. “In looking back to when we first occupied the new facilities, I was very pleased with our new branch manager, Tom Hlawek and the amount of work he and the Houston crew had performed to make this facility a ’show place’ for heavy equipment.”

The facility is located on 5.4 acres and has more than 29,000 sq. ft. under roof in three separate building for sales and rentals as well as a full service shop and parts warehouse.

“Our staff and marketing efforts have informed our customers in the Houston area that we are here to service them and all their equipment needs,” said Hlawek. “We have assembled some of the best equipment in the construction industry, New Holland and Kobelco, as well as our allied products so that our customers can feel confident that we are the only place they have to go for their construction equipment needs.

“Bane Machinery has been serving the construction industry for over 45 years in the Dallas, Fort Worth and Tyler areas of North Texas and we look at the Houston area as our next step forward to ensuring Bane quality in the construction industry,” Bane said.
