Beck Equipment, a used equipment dealer with more than 40 years experience in supplying used construction equipment for rental and sale, has just made a major investment in a massive paint booth.

According to John Zachary, who heads up the paint and refinishing department at Beck Equipment, “The new paint booth, which measures 47 feet long, 16 feet high and 16 feet wide, was manufactured by Global Finishing Solutions and features the very latest technology in air filtration and high intensity lighting. The air filtration keeps dirt and particulates from bonding to the finish of the equipment being painted and creates a much better finish. The system also includes high volume, low pressure paint guns, which produce less overspray, reducing the amount of waste and is much healthier for the environment.”

The paint booth has been operable since the summer of 2014 and is among the largest paint booths of its type in upstate New York.

For Beck Equipment, this has accomplished a goal of keeping its rental fleet and the machines that it offers for resale looking as pristine as possible. Beck also utilizes the paint booth to paint machines for contractors and other equipment dealers. Since the booth has been in place, oversized machines such as massive trailers and long-reach excavators have been brought back to life with a fresh coat of paint and new decals. The intense lighting system allows Beck technicians to do paint jobs that are both exacting and efficient, according to the company.

Beck Equipment has an inventory of more than 150 machines in its rental fleet and more than 1,000 attachments. The company is located in Preble, N.Y., just off Interstate 81 between Syracuse and Binghamton, N.Y.
