Best Line Equipment has acquired Uniontown Industrial Equipment Company in Uniontown, Pa. With the purchase, Best Line Equipment now has 12 operating locations and one under construction in West Chester, Pa. Best Line began operating out of Uniontown on July 1.
"It will be great for all parties involved, both employees and customers," said Robert Hess, one of the owners of Uniontown Industrial Equipment Company. "Our product offering is going to increase dramatically which will better satisfy our customer’s needs."
Hess, along with the other two owners, Mike Clower and Tammy Mauk, have decided to accept positions with Best Line Equipment. Hess has assumed the role of branch manager. Clower has taken the sales manager position and Mauk will now be the office manager.
Adam Houseknecht, general manager of operations at Best Line Equipment, is looking forward to continuing the work that UIEC has started.
"Customers can expect to see the same friendly faces they’ve known and trusted for years, with increased parts and service availability, product and equipment offerings and expanded selection."
Best Line Equipment also will provide area businesses, government institutions, and the Utica and Marcellus Gas Industry with equipment rental and emergency after-hours equipment delivery and service.
"This is an exciting time for us," Houseknecht added. "Anytime a strong local business can become stronger with added services, the entire community benefits."
Best Line Equipment enters the Uniontown area as a leader in equipment rental, sales, and service. Michael Houseknecht started Best Line Equipment in 1985. Now headquartered in State College, Pa., Best Line operates with more than 300 employees and more than 50 equipment manufacturers. Brands like Doosan, Terex, Eager Beaver, Dynapac and Lay-Mor will be carried over from UIEC to Best Line.
The community is invited to visit the location at 2266 University Drive in Lemont Furnace, Pa., directly off of Route 119.
