Binder Machinery Company's Robert Binder Passes Away

Robert Carl Binder of Far Hills, N.J., and Hobe Sound, Fla., formerly of Summit, N.J., died on April 18, 2017. He was born in Pensacola, Fla. in 1944.

Mr. Binder graduated from Summit High School in Summit, N.J., and then graduated from Parsons College in Iowa. He started his career alongside his father, Walter, at Binder Machinery Company in Union, N.J., in 1967. He became president of Binder Machinery in 1982, and in 1988 was presented with UTCA's Larry Gardner Award.

He was an avid golfer and fisherman.

Mr. Binder was a loving husband, father and grandfather and is survived by his wife Suzan and children Heather (Peter Jr.) Kapsimalis, Carlin Binder, Brendan (Kristina) Binder, and Ashlee (Frank) McMackin. He also is survived by his grandchildren Peter, Nicholas, Lily, Charlotte, Brendan, Olyvia and Quin.

A private family service was held. A celebration of life service will be held for family and friends at a later date.
