Bob Briant Receives NJSEED Lifetime Achievement Award

Bob Briant, who retired last year after 33 years as chief executive officer of the Utility and Transportation Contractors Association (UTCA), was recently presented with the 2006 John H. Maddocks Lifetime Achievement Award by the New Jersey Society for Environmental and Economic Development (NJSEED).

The award is presented annually to recognize the recipient’s lifetime service to the environment and economic development in New Jersey.

NJSEED is an organization of business representatives, union officials and environmentalists who endeavor to foster environmentally sound economic development throughout New Jersey. The organization recently completed 25 years of service and announced the presentation of the award at its Annual Government Affairs Conference.

Briant was recognized for his leadership roles in construction and his humanitarian services in support of a number of needy organizations over a number of years. Earlier this year, he was selected as the Kidney Foundation of America’s New Jersey Man of the Year.
