Construction Equipment Guide

Bobcat Enterprises in Cincinnati, Columbus, Louisville and Lexington is hosting one of the biggest competitions for Bobcat equipment operators in the Midwest in September. Bobcat Enterprises is celebrating 30 years of serving the compact construction equipment needs of contractors, farmers, landscapers and owner/operators with a week long, traveling old-fashioned Bobcat Rodeo.

Four rodeos and open house events will take place starting Sept. 15 in Cincinnati, Sept. 20 in Louisville, Sept. 22 in Lexington, and culminating on Sept. 24 in Reynoldsburg (a suburb of Columbus).

All four rodeos will feature timed operator skill competitions on Bobcat track loaders, skid-steer loaders and Bobcat Zero House Swing excavators. Bobcat Enterprises in Columbus (Reynoldsburg) and Cincinnati (Tri-County) will also offer a competition on rough-terrain forklifts. In addition to bragging rights, winners will be awarded cash prizes and Bobcat Bucks redeemable at all Bobcat Enterprises locations.

And the event is not just for operators. There will be plenty to do and see including riding a mechanical bull and registering for door prizes like the grand prize of the use of a Bobcat 2200 utility vehicle for one year.

Rodeo attendees can watch new product demonstrations in the center ring and cheer on the Bobcat track machines as they try to maneuver their way out of the treacherous mud pit. Bobcat equipment owners also can learn tips on caring for their machines at the Bobcare Clinic conducted by factory-trained technicians.

The Bobcat Enterprises Rodeos will also feature bargains on machines, attachments, parts and accessories, and new and used equipment as well as a large selection of items in the silent auction. Representatives will be available with special finance offers. To add to the festivities, refreshments will be served all day and there will be a Remote Control Bobcat Toy obstacle course for the children.

Bobcat Enterprises started business in 1975 with one location at Route 747 and Muhlhauser Road in Cincinnati (Tri-County). Over the past 30 years Bobcat Enterprises has added five more full service dealerships in Lexington, Louisville, Mt. Orab, Hilliard and Reynoldsburg.

Tom Trapp, owner and president of Bobcat Enterprises said, “Rodeos have been an important part of Bobcat Enterprises from the beginning. We know compact construction equipment operators are proud of their ability to manipulate Bobcat loaders and excavators in tight quarters and on difficult terrain. The Rodeos provide them with an opportunity to show off their skills. Bobcat Equipment is their primary tool for making money and they have a passion about doing a good job with their machines. It is really fun to bring everyone together for competition and bragging rights. We look forward to hosting the rodeos this September.”
