BOMAG’s BW141AD-5 and BW151AD-5 tandem vibratory rollers feature an innovative frame design for clear visibility and Tier IV final engines for increased fuel efficiency. These new models provide 4,200 vpm for enhanced performance on a variety of asphalt compaction jobs ranging from commercial sites and parking lots to highway construction.

A newly designed operator’s platform offers a spacious working area that provides ample room and comfort, while still offering optimal all-around views of the roller drums, asphalt mat and surrounding areas. An adjustable, multi-position seat rotates and slides laterally to both sides. A travel lever with integrated switches, the Smart drive steering wheel, and related operating controls are arranged logically and within easy reach.

The new rollers are each powered by Tier IV final 73.2 hp Kubota water-cooled diesel engines. Offering 59- and 66-in. (150 and 167 cm) working widths, the BW141AD-5 and BW151AD-5 each deliver up to 17,760 lbs. of centrifugal force and a high frequency output to deliver smoothness results. Featuring EcoMode, fuel is conserved by controlling the engine speed in relation to load, saving up to 30-percent.

The intelligent design of the rollers also feature innovative component placement such as a large water tank below the operator’s station and placing the engine within the rear frame. This contributes to efficient maneuverability and reduced noise levels during operation. The pressurized water spray system includes a second pump for back-up and triple filtering to ensure reliable drum coverage. The sleek engine hood provides quick and unobstructed access from either side of the machine.

A crab-walk function allows operators to offset the rear drum left to right up to 6.7 in. (17 cm). Other standard features that maximize performance include automatic vibration control, a speedometer, four halogen working lights, turn indicator and hazard lights, master battery disconnect switch and storage areas.

Optional features include a mat temperature display, a ROPS cabin with heating and air conditioning, radio, Bomag telematics, drum edge lighting and an edge cutter feature for the rear drum.
