Briggs Construction Equipment has expanded its territory with the addition of branches in Milton, FL, and Mobile, AL.

Region Manager Duane Murph said both areas are “good sizable markets” that will add to Briggs’ business.

Previously, Case Equipment had been represented in these locations by Coastal Machinery.

Murph said Briggs will offer its full line of equipment for sale at both branches, but will focus on its rental business.

In Mobile, Briggs is renting a 10,000-sq.-ft. facility with six service bays. It has a staff of nine, including three technicians, one of whom is out in the field fulltime. It opened in September and services Baldwin, Mobile, Clarke, Escambia, Conecuh, Washington, Monroe and Choctaw counties.

Briggs opened a temporary location March 1 in Milton. It is staffed by a rental representative, a sales representative and a parts manager. A service technician will come on board May 1.

The staff will increase when the permanent 13,000-sq.-ft. location opens in Santa Rosa Industrial Park just east of Milton sometime next year. With 10 acres of land, Murph said there is plenty of room for this branch to expand. It covers the counties of Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Holmes and Washington.

“Our focus is the customer,” Murph said. “We are committed to providing quality equipment through sales, rental and product support. We want to give the previous dealer’s customers the service they deserve.”
