Construction odds and ends get sent to me from friends and relatives who generally have no interest or clue about our industry and what I write about. Fortunately most have learned to not complain to me about getting inconvenienced by construction occurring where they are or on the road because I sort of overreact by barking at them “So SoRY YOU were inCONVENNNNienced on your way to your VERY IMPORTANT job” (Read that last line with as much sarcasm that you can muster.). I generally follow up with a more calmly-delivered “learning lesson” on the importance of construction and how the results make our lives easier and more comfortable.
So, a good friend posted this TechInsider website item on my FaceBook page with a “This looks like something you'd find interesting.” He is right, I do find it fascinating. I did a little research and discovered that these very cool Lego-style blocks are made by a Canadian company called Lock-Block Ltd. and the truck used in the video is a Zipper Truck.
I feel justified in giving every little kid that I'm obliged to buy a gift either Duplos (the bigger size blocks) or Legos. I got to believe that whoever came up with Lock-Block is a major Lego nerd.
