In June, Forest Nabors officially purchased the assets of the Memphis, TN, branch of Equipment Support Services (ESS) and took on the roles of president and owner.

This ESS branch, formerly the headquarters of United Equipment, is now under the name Tiger Equipment Inc. and is the Case Construction Equipment dealer for West Tennessee, north Mississippi and east Arkansas. With the acquisition, Tiger also has acquired the north eastern Mississippi territory, and the company also will sell agricultural machines in northeast Mississippi.

Tiger is currently in the process of purchasing property to build a facility in the Tupelo, MS, area.

Nabors joined United Equipment, a Case distributorship, approximately 10 years ago, and after the company was sold to ESS he became the general manager of the ESS-Georgia region, based in Atlanta.

“It’s an old cliche,” Nabors said, “but I will run this business on the premise of treating others the way I would want to be treated. That’s the way it should be and that’s the way it will be. I just want to be the best at what we do.”

In the few months that the new Tiger Equipment branch has been operating, Nabors said he has “hit the ground running,” already improving his service department’s capacity by doubling personnel. He also is substantially increasing his company’s parts inventory and is adding to the field service fleet.

“It’s easy to provide good customer service,” said Nabors. “I believe in empowering the employees and letting them make the best business decisions possible … that will ultimately improve productivity and customer satisfaction. I want to simplify doing business with us and make this a more enjoyable atmosphere for both customers and employees.”

The new Tiger Equipment location is at 2205 Lamar Ave., Memphis, TN.
