Cashman Open House Offers NASCAR Display, Prizes

NU Equipment, a Las Vegas-based construction company, won a free six-month rental of a Cat 216 skid steer loader from Cashman Equipment. NU Equipment joined hundreds of other local companies entered in the drawing at Cashman’s annual open house.

The Cat 216 skid steer loader is offered in a full line of compact construction equipment. It has a rated operating capacity of 1,400 lb. (635 kg) and an operating weight of 5,490 lb. (2,490 kg) The machine is designed to fit in tight spaces and its 51-hp (38 kW) Cat engine can move up to 7.25 mph (11.6 kmh).

“We are thrilled to have won this great prize in Cashman’s open house drawing,” said Dennis Frehner, vice president of NU Equipment. NU Equipment is a construction company that provides heavy hauling in the western United States. It also does business as Soil Solutions, a dust-control company. Soil Solutions currently is providing demolition work on 150 homes along U.S. 95’s freeway expansion project.

Frehner has worked with Cashman Equipment since the 1970s, when he was a parts runner for Frehner Construction. “I have a good working relationship with Cashman,” he said. “They have good people who are very responsive and I know what to expect from them.”

At the open house, Cashman Equipment showcased its equipment, rental, power, trenching, financial, parts, fluids analysis and ground engaging tools divisions. Local professional race drivers Clay Flippin of Flippin’s Racing and Cindy Clark of Cindy Clark Racing gave guests an inside look at their cars on display. The event was held in conjunction with NASCAR’s Winston Cup races in Las Vegas.

Cashman Equipment is Nevada’s Caterpillar construction equipment dealer. It provides new and used equipment for sale and rental as well as parts and service to the construction, paving, mining, logging, truck engine and power systems industries throughout Nevada.
