More about Cimline

According to Cimline, also called CPMG, among its pavement industry achievements, which it says were first in the industry, include: the Oil Jacketed Kettle, Vertical Material Agitator, Dual Temperature Control, Electronic Burner Ignition, and the First with Rubber Torsion Axles.

In the 1980s, CPMG's contracting and materials divisions split off and the company focused on equipment and new product development. Innovations during this period included the Span Saw, the Centerline Saw, and a faster heating crack sealer.

In 1992, Hines Corporation acquired Cimline Inc., and became part of the Plymouth Industries family of companies. Innovations during the 1990s included the Riding Saw, Torsion axle trailers, and diesel-firedcrack sealers. Prior to diesel-fired crack sealers (which is predominant in the industry today), all crack sealers were propane-heated.

In 2001, the company introduced the MAGMA Melter/Applicator. Among the product's innovations included the largest capacity, single-or dual-heated hoses, standard engine enclosure, the safest workzone with the lowest loading height, best operator visibility and the largest working radius.

In 2006, Duraco Inc. was acquired, which broadened the group's product offering with cutting-edge spray injection patching technology.Since 2006, CPMG has released the METRO, Gen III MAGMA and MATRIX Melter/Applicators.

The company's GEN IV MAGMA is the latest innovation in pavement maintenance, according to CPMG. The product is completely redesigned with the latest technology and focuses on safety and performance but also with sustainability. The GEN IV MAGMA runs on a Tier IV compliant diesel engine. The product's new tank design is 20 percent more efficient on heat up, reducing fuel consumption and operating costs, according to CPMG.

Based in Plymouth, Minn., CPMG today manufactures a wide array of pothole patchers, including the DuraPatcher P2, P3, P4 and P5, as well as crack sealers, which includes theM Series, R3 Router, H Seriesand the C1.
