Yanmar America's UTV division announced the sale of a Green 2018 BULL Series utility task vehicle to the city of Acworth, Ga., Parks and Recreation Department. Representatives of the Yanmar UTV Division delivered the new UTV to the city of Acworth on Dec. 15, 2017.
The Acworth purchase comes on the heels of a month-long evaluation period in which Yanmar America UTV division loaned the city of Acworth a BULL Series UTV.
"We use UTVs to pull trailers and transport people and items for events and for general park maintenance," said Clem Freeman, parks operations manager of the city of Acworth. "After having the opportunity to test the Yanmar UTV for our use, we felt confident replacing our aged UTV with a high quality and dependable Yanmar UTV that has the features we need for getting work done," continued Freeman.
Jason Fitch, UTV division manager of Yanmar America stated, "We are pleased to be able to work and partner with our local community. With the recent opening of our new EVO/Center in Acworth, and now our partnership with Acworth Parks and Recreation, we hope to continue to create and develop relationships with local government and organizations."
The model that the city of Acworth purchased is a BULL Series UTV that has been modified to provide extra safety features suited to municipal and real-world job site scenarios. These special units are called "Rent-A-BULLs" and are designed for municipality and commercial usage. They typically have hardtop roofs, windshields, speed limitation, alarms, horns, extra safety strobe lights and safety graphics. However, many other options and features are available to meet the desired applications.
