C.N. Wood Company has been appointed the authorized Bomag road building equipment distributor of Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island, according to Jim Maxwell, C.N. Wood general manager.

As the Bomag road building equipment distributor, C.N. Wood Company now offers asphalt contractors and municipalities throughout southern New England Bomag’s product offering, which includes cold milling machines, the CMI RS series of reclaimer/stabilizers and Cedarapids pavers and material transfer equipment. The agreement also includes the Bomag MPH series recyclers/stabilizers, heavy tandem vibratory and combination rollers, and pneumatic tire rollers.

“The product lineup made available to us through Bomag/Cedarapids puts C.N. Wood in the position to satisfy all of the product needs of highway contractors and municipal road maintenance crews in our territory,” Maxwell said.

C.N. Wood now carries a complete range of asphalt compaction, paving and preservation equipment. The preservation lineup features the high performance Bomag utility and half-lane milling machines with cutting widths from 11.8 to 98.4 in. (30 to 250 cm) and the CMI RS series of reclaimer/stabilizers, offering full-depth reclamation capabilities of asphalt roads with cutting depths ranging from 16 to 20 in. (40.6 to 50.8 cm) at widths from 96 to 120 in. (244 to 305 cm).

For public and private paving contractors, the Cedarapids line boasts 8-ft. (2.4 m) commercial and 10-ft. (3 m) mainline paving equipment as well as material transfer devices and vehicles. Bomag also offers commercial and mainline compaction equipment to complement the pavers with drum widths ranging from 47 to 84 in. (119 to 213 cm).

Bomag compactors can be equipped with the advanced Intelligent Compaction system, Asphalt Manager, to prevent mat over compaction.

For nearly 50 years C.N. Wood has focused on satisfying the demanding needs of New England contractors.

“We know that when a piece of equipment goes down, particularly on a paving project, it can shut down the entire job. We understand the importance of being available 24/7 to properly and efficiently support the equipment that we sell,” said Maxwell.

C.N. Wood has five locations serving southern New England, including its newest store in New Haven, Conn.
