Manitowoc and Coast Crane Company, a subsidiary of Essex Rental Corp., recently celebrated a major order of Grove rough-terrain cranes.
The order was for a variety of rough-terrain cranes for a total of 12, including two new RT9150Es, the newest RT from Grove launched last year. It is the largest rough-terrain crane currently in production globally.
“Coast Crane made a major investment in its rental fleet and in its continuing relationship with Manitowoc Cranes,” said Dave Hull, senior vice president of sales of Manitowoc, North America.
Hull said the RT9150Es specifically would be a major benefit to Coast Crane’s business.
“We’re confident that these state of the art cranes will help us significantly grow our rental business and provide a strong return on investment because of the cranes’ class leading reach and capacity,” said Terry Howard, executive vice president and COO of Coast Crane.
The RT9150E combines the main boom reach of 197 ft. (60 m) with the largest capacity on the market, 150 ton (136 t).
Coast Crane bought the cranes from Manitowoc as part of its relationship with Manitowoc as a direct customer.
