In a heartwarming display of corporate social responsibility, Columbus Equipment Company (CEC) has recently been honored with a prestigious Good Neighbor Award for its contribution to a Queen City Emergency Net (QCEN) project.

QCEN is an amateur radio communications group that provides emergency communications for the Cincinnati Chapter of the American Red Cross. The group has provided aid in emergencies including floods, tornadoes and other widespread emergencies when regular channels of communication become overloaded.

When QCEN needed assistance in replacing and servicing its antennas, Columbus Equipment Company long-time employee Don Mortimer, an active volunteer member of QCEN, asked CEC to sponsor this project. CEC responded to the request by offering the use of a Magni telehandler for the project.

By donating time, employees and equipment, CEC has played a significant role in aiding QCEN's project by helping the organization in achieving its goal to keep the lines of communication open for potential emergencies. By actively engaging employees in volunteer activities, CEC has created a sense of purpose and fulfillment within its workforce. This not only boosts employee morale but attracts socially conscious talent.

Columbus Equipment Company's commitment to giving back to the community has not only made a positive impact but also serves as an inspiration to other businesses. The company recognizes the importance of active community involvement and has made it a part of its corporate culture.

Receiving the Good Neighbor Award is a testament to CEC's unwavering commitment to corporate social responsibility. This recognition also comes with a responsibility to maintain the positive momentum and continue supporting their community. By leveraging its influence and resources, CEC has the power to inspire others and create lasting change with QCEN.

The company's efforts have made a meaningful impact on the community it serves and as Columbus Equipment Company continues to set an example and reinforces the notion that giving back to the community is a shared responsibility that yields not only individual fulfillment but also long-term societal benefits.
