Construction Equipment Guide

Featuring a 3.2-meter (10.5 ft.) inside turning radius and 26-percent gradeability, Stow’s R2000 .9-metric-roller (1 ton) static roller is maneuverable and versatile on the job site. A compact frame and drum design enables the R2000 to roll within 4.4 centimeters (1.75 in.) of walls without the use of attachments.

The R2000 features a split-front drum designed to prevent the roller from damaging asphalt when turning corners. Powered by an 6-kilowatt (8 hp) Honda or Briggs & Stratton engine, the R2000’s hydrostatic transmission offers infinitely variable speed control in both forward and reverse.

A release valve disengages the R2000’s transmission and allows the roller to be towed around the job site without starting the engine. The R2000 has a 549-kilogram (1,210 lb.) dry weight and a 936-kilogram (2,063 lb.) ballasted weight.

An easy-access engine and hinged transmission cover simplify service and maintenance of the R2000. The roller’s water tank is constructed of stainless steel to prevent rust and corrosion.
