Company Wrench announced its newest location in Charlotte, N.C., adding to its growing footprint in the Carolinas.
The company currently has a branch in Lexington, S.C., just outside of Columbia and a Smithfield, N.C., location just east of Raleigh Durham. According to Michael Gilmartin of Company Wrench, the Charlotte location will complete the trifecta for the company in order to move new products efficiently and keep its inventory up to date for all three locations.
“Charlotte is the new and upcoming metropolis for the Southeast as far as growth potential,” said Gilmartin. “It's a smart economic decision for us considering our growth pattern that we have with the JCB and Kobelco line.”
Gilmartin said that while Company Wrench began by selling — and continues to sell — specialized equipment and large material handlers to serve the scrap market, it has evolved into a hybrid-type dealer, which offers the JCB and Kobelco lines in North and South Carolina. All three locations have service vehicles with trained service technicians for the company's major equipment and support lines — Fuchs, LaBounty, JCB, Kobelco, Fecon, Screen Machine, Drumcutter and CE Products.
The company also offers its customers approximately 60 machines as part of its specialty demolition division. The largest machine, a Komatsu PC 1250, is configured with a digging boom front and an open-close rotate circuit, which allows it to work with a 7500 R shear or a UPX 950 processor.
Company Wrench's newest branch currently includes three service bays with two service trucks. The facility also boasts parts availability for its lines with a 4,000 sq. ft. warehouse. For parts that are not in house, Company Wrench offers “just in time” support, which means customers receive their parts order within 24 hours. A total of four salespeople will be working from this location.
According to Gilmartin, customers can expect the same level of service at its new location that they have come to expect from the company's existing locations.
“Company Wrench is a unique market supplier/dealer. We offer our customers the best products with superior applications. We've become more consultants than salesmen.
“We haven't had a Kobelco dealership here for probably three to four years, so it was time for us to get back in the Charlotte market. We've started a five-year commitment with this building, and we plan on growing from there.”—CEG
