Congressman Ryan Costello (PA-06) visited Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) member Eagle Power & Equipment's Uwchlan, Pa., branch on March 9 to tour the facility and learn more about construction equipment.

Matt McDonald, president and CEO of Eagle Power & Equipment hosted the event, leading Costello on a tour through the parts department, service shop and out through the equipment yard.

The discussion involved Eagle Power's place in the supply chain and the value it provides to its customers after the sale. Costello was very interested in learning about the various markets Eagle serves as well as the economic impact federal projects have on businesses in the area.

After the tour the group sat down to discuss several policy related issues that impact the dealership, most notably the lack of federal investment in water infrastructure, which is a key concern for many of Eagle Power & Equipment customers in the utility market.

In addition to being outdated, broken, and in some cases deadly, McDonald pointed out that years of underinvestment in this area has forced contractors to rely upon older, less efficient equipment to handle growing demand. McDonald stated that sustained, long-term funding would allow these companies to reinvest in their businesses and the equipment they need to work effectively.
