The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) has once-again awarded the Associated General Contractors of America with Accredited Provider status. As a result, the construction association will be able to continue offering IACET's Continuing Education Units to members who complete the association's relevant courses.

“Our education programs educate over 3,000 construction professionals each year in crucial technical and management skills so that our members can continue to thrive in a constantly evolving industry,” said Stephen E. Sandherr, the association's chief executive officer. “Our renewed accreditation is a demonstration of our continuing commitment to quality adult education and high standards for all of our programs.”

The association offers IACET Continuing Education Units for a number of its programs, including its Advanced Management Program and Construction Project Manager Courses, and for many of its educational programs offered during the association's annual convention. In addition, construction safety professionals can receive the Continuing Education Units by taking the association's Safety Management Training Course and Advanced Safety Management Training Course.

“We are pleased to reaccredit AGC of America as an Accredited Provider,” said Peter Finn, IACET Chair. “AGC joins over 600 organizations around the globe that have had their programs vetted by third-party experts in continuing education thereby ensuring the highest possible standards are met.”

The association completed a rigorous application process, including a review by an IACET site visitor, and successfully demonstrated adherence to the international group's design, development, administration and evaluation standards. In addition, the construction association is now linked to the IACET website and is recognized as offering the highest quality continuing education and training programs.
