Construction and heavy equipment firms across the state of Nevada will come together to host the first annual Construction vs. Cancer event in partnership with the American Cancer Society Feb. 10.

The event, which will take place at Symphony Park in Las Vegas, will provide pediatric cancer survivors the chance to test their skills operating construction equipment, Vegas News reported. Other highlights include a performance by Jabbawockeez, a group of MGM dancers, displays of LVMPD patrol cars, circus performers, a Michael Jackson impersonator and more.

Entertainer Criss Angel will also join the festivities, and will be presented with the American Cancer Society Compassionate Heart Award by Barrick for his commitment to supporting cancer research.

The money raised at the event will help support programs and services for cancer patients, as well as fund research, Vegas News reported.

"One of the best parts of our job is any time a child walks near one of our sites and looks with amazement at all the activity and equipment,"Lori Mendenhall, of Las Vegas Paving, one of the event's sponsors told Vegas News. "We are delighted to participate in this inaugural event which will be a memorable experience for children and adults alike."
