Dynapac’s new CP274 pneumatic tired roller incorporates features designed to enhance efficiency, serviceability, operator safety and comfort while producing enhanced compaction results. With a compaction width of 91 in. (231 cm) and a fully ballasted operating weight of 59,500 lbs. (26,989 kg), the CP274 is ideally suited for a wide variety of finishing, sealing and soil compaction applications.
The CP274 is powered by a 110 hp (82 kW) Cummins QSB 4.5 Tier III engine that offers reduced emissions, as well as low levels of ambient noise due to a thermostatically controlled cooling fan. A smooth start/stop system when changing direction helps ensure the quality of the finished surface. With the optional “air-on-the-run” system, the operator can even adjust the tire pressure during the compaction process. The dual-circuit braking system maintains full braking operations even if one circuit is disabled.
The CP274 features a highly accurate control system, and with the optional DCA-A compaction analyzer and temperature sensor the CP274 can produce optimum density and surface texture, while providing full statistics and documentation. The DCA-A system also can play back the rolling pattern and produce a printout of all relevant information for later analysis.
Like all Dynapac machines, the CP274 is built on a modular basis and shares many components and subsystems with other models. These common parts result in cost savings in terms of inventory and servicing.
The CP274 is equipped with a spacious platform with operator-friendly controls. The operator’s seat rotates and slides sideways, as does the steering assembly, to improve visibility and accessibility. The optional enclosed cab also provides increased visibility of the machine, with the added benefit of either air conditioning or automatic climate control.
