Construction Equipment Guide

Rammer offers a complete line of cutter crushers and pulverizers to meet demolition and recycling needs. Four models are offered in the cutter crusher line with the smallest, the RC 4, weighing only 204.1 kilograms (450 lbs.) making it ideal for rental use on mini-excavators and demolition robots. The RC 4 has a jaw opening of 30.5 centimeters (12 in.) and a maximum cutting force of 46,901 kilograms (103,400 lb.).

Newest in the line is the RD 18 designed for use on carriers in the 15,875- to 24,947-kilogram (35,000 to 55,000 lb.) range. The RD 18 provides powerful force yet weighs only 2,100 kilograms (4,630 lb.) Maximum cutting force is 285,763 kilograms (630,000 lb.) and maximum crushing force is 137,755 kilograms (303,700 lb.). The light weight of the unit makes it ideal for super long reach applications. Equipped with longer sticks, excavators can reach higher or further into the demo site increasing productivity.

A narrow jaw design with short, curved cutting blades set deep in the jaw throat provides the power on the RD 18. The narrow jaw design also allows use in areas where operating space is tight. The jaws open to 71.1 centimeters (28 in.) to handle large blocks of concrete. All Rammer cutter crushers feature 360-degree rotation, blades designed to easily shear rebar and beams and easily replaced cutter blades.

Rammer pulverizers feature a broad jaw opening with an extended throat to maximize crushing capacity and are available with a maximum cutting force to 237,546 kilograms (523,700 lb.) and crushing force to 124,375 kilograms (274,200 lb.). These units are designed for use on hydraulic excavators from 18,143 to 41,730 kilograms (40,000 to 92,000 lbs.) and easily handle concrete reduction and the separation of rebar from concrete. The tooth geometry feeds material to the yield point. A special abrasive-resistant plating provides durability and cutter blades are easily reversible and replaceable.

Support includes the Ramses CD-ROM package which includes service manuals, video explanations of procedures, parts lists and other information. Rammer also provides parts and service access on a 24-hour basis, field and factory service support personnel, factory and regional service schools. In addition, Rammer maintains an application engineering department to help meet special requirements. All Rammer hammers also are covered by a warranty.
