Keil Equipment has been named the Daewoo dealer for the Capital District and the lower Hudson Valley of New York State.

Daewoo makes six models of wheel loaders from 1.8 to 5.5 meters (2 yds. - 6 yds.). It makes nine models of excavators from 4,536 to 45,360 kilograms (10,000 - 100,000 lbs.).

Daewoo also offers a 67-kilowatt (90 hp) dozer and plans to release two other dozer models in the near future.

“Our company had been a Samsung dealer for a number of years. Unfortunately, when Samsung was purchased by Volvo, we lost the line,” said Vice President Brad Keil. “The Daewoo line was a perfect replacement for us. The two lines are very comparable and the Daewoo excavator is priced very competitively.

“This is the type of machine that our customers have grown accustomed to and we are very proud to have the Daewoo line.”

Keil Equipment also has purchased a large supply of Daewoo parts to better serve its customers and contractors in the Albany and Hudson Valley area who already own Daewoo machines.

Keil Equipment has a facility in Hudson, NY, and a facility in Red Hook, NY.

The company was founded in 1948. Keil Equipment also sells Massey Ferguson tractors and loaders and Fermec tractor loader backhoes.
