Since 1888, Sandwich, Ill., has hosted what has become one of the oldest continuous county fairs in the state. The DeKalb County event has evolved from an annual livestock show, to what is now a five-day event featuring harness racing, concerts, an antique car show and more. The fair always begins the Wednesday after Labor Day.
This event allowed vendors to showcase their equipment on display and on the track with live demonstrations of the newest skid steer loaders, compact track loaders, excavators and more. There were also competitive demonstrations and skilled operators showing off the ability and agility of a given machine.
The Equipment Vendor Showcase was well-attended and it is hoped the event will grow and become an annual event. CEG
