Dealers and race fans had an opportunity in late February to not only check out a presentation of the 2003 Daewoo excavator models, but also to tour Joe Gibbs Racing Headquarters in North Carolina.

After a welcome and meeting topic outline from Tim O’ Malley, and an introduction and presentation from Joe Gibbs, guests were given Daewoo’s 2002 results and the company’s 2003 agenda.

In mid-morning, attendees were introduced to the new Daewoo excavator and wheel loader Solar V Series models for 2003, which include the 210 WV, 180 WV and 140 WV wheel loaders and the 470 LCV, 420LCV, 340 LCV, 300 LCV, 255 LCV, 225 LCV, 175 LCV and 55 VP excavators. The Solar V Series boasts new Tier II Green engines, new instrument panels, new multi-function LCD panels, new hydraulic system features, upgraded undercarriage components, redesigned service points, eEPOS interface technology, enhanced cabin and comfort specifications, greater visibility, advanced operating seating system and a state-of-the-art HVAC system.

After the presentation of new models, guests were given a presentation and tour of the Joe Gibbs racing facility. Here attendees could see different models under construction and the finished products including the Home Depot #20 car and the Interstate Batteries car.

After lunch, dealers and guests were given the opportunity for a hands-on review of the new Daewoo products.
