When Victor L. Phillips and W.C. Jones opened The Victor L. Phillips Company for business in 1911, it was a period of fast-paced innovation in the construction industry. Phillips recognized this, and in very short order went from selling horse-drawn concrete mixers to stocking the latest equipment, including a custom-built asphalt kettle that was designed and built by Phillips himself. This willingness to always keep the customer satisfied – even if it meant getting their hands dirty – has translated into great success for the company over ten decades. Today, the company is proud to feature six locations and employ nearly a hundred people in Missouri and Kansas. Through the decades, the hands-on approach and dedication to the customer has remained the same. Working with such top manufacturers as Case, Sennebogen, JLG, Atlas Copco and Takeuchi to name a few, the company offers a host of used and new equipment, including backhoes, dozers, excavators, motor graders and more.
