Defense Department Awards Caterpillar $663M Equipment Contract

The U.S. Department of Defense recently awarded Caterpillar a contract for more than $663 million.

As part of the five-year contract, Caterpillar will supply commercial construction equipment to perform duties in Illinois, North Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Arkansas, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Austria, Belgium, England, France, Italy and Japan, with a performance completion date of Aug. 28, 2022.

The equipment will be used by the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and other federal civilian agencies.
