Denver Weinstiger has joined the staff at Nasser Heavy Equipment’s Villa Rica, Ga., branch.

He will be taking on the responsibilities of business development for the company.

Weinstiger has been in the equipment industry since 1975, when he began his career with a company in Ohio as a clerk in the service department. Over the years, Weinstiger has worked “all angles” of the business with various equipment distributors, with his main focus being on product support and operations. Nine years of his career were spent with Burch-Lowe in Atlanta, where he held various positions in product support and operations.

More recently, the result of his long term career experience and knowledge led him to the position of general manager at Stafford in Lawrenceville, Ga., and then to the position of president and general manager at Atlanta JCB.

In addition to business development, Weinstiger will also work with staffing needs at his branch location.

When asked about his preliminary business development plan, Weinstiger said: “with the housing market down, we need to more aggressively pursue the commercial, industrial and utility markets, as well as being more focused on the export market. Rentals will also be a big focus and we will need to expand the area in which we rent machines. Adding to the services that we already have and increasing our product support capabilities will help us to continue to thrive. Putting the right people in the right place within the organization will also be a key element for long term success. If we do all of this, and do it well, we’ve done our job.”

Nasser Heavy Equipment is based in Lawrenceville, Ga., with branches in Cumming and Villa Rica, Ga., and is an authorized distributor for Hyundai, Sakai, Liebherr and Eager Beaver.
