Doosan Portable Power has appointed Diamond Goodson Equipment Company a full dealer of its line of Ingersoll Rand-branded portable and utility air compressors, as well as light tower systems, light compaction rammers and walk-behind compactors.

Diamond Goodson Equipment began in 1957 as Diamond Air Compressor Company and is a leading supplier of air compressors, air-related tools and sandblasting equipment in eastern Virginia. The company has locations in Richmond and Norfolk servicing all of central and eastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina.

“We are looking forward to being a dealer for the premier manufacturer of portable air compressors,” said Bruce Goodson, president of Diamond Goodson Equipment. “Finding a company with strong support for its dealer network was very important to me, and Doosan Portable Power provides that support.

“We are located in the mid-Atlantic region where we have seen the economy remain strong, bolstered by federal military spending at the area shipyards and other industrial facilities,” Goodson said.

For more than 50 years, Diamond Goodson Equipment has provided sales and rental of air compressors, air tools and sandblasting equipment for the construction and industrial markets in Virginia, along with compact equipment, light towers and light construction equipment.

“Diamond Goodson is a longstanding leader in the air compressor market,” said Rita Moore, director of sales, North America, Doosan Portable Power. “We are thrilled to have gained a strategic partner for our legacy product line.”
