Don Smock Auction Company held an absolute crushing and screening equipment auction in Paragon, Ind., on Nov. 15. The auction was conducted to liquidate assets of the JW Jones company as the company realigns its equipment inventory.

To accommodate the high volume of equipment, bidding took place in two rings within the 52-acre equipment yard. In all, more than 1,200 items were up for bid. The auction featured an extensive range of material processing equipment, including cone crushers, impact crushers, trommel screens, screen plants, conveyors, additional support equipment and a variety of equipment parts.

The auction drew bidders on site from Indiana and surrounding states, while attracting significant online bidding as well. CEG

Bill Dodds (L) of Indiana Equipment and Tim Segal of Segal’s Sand and Gravel were looking for equipment bargains at the auction.  

Connor Cobane of Powerscreen Crushing and Screening, the Terex EvoQuip dealership for Indiana, stopped in to see the auction activities.

John Bevins of Bevins Sand and Gravel in Maysville, Ky., was pleased to have landed the winning bid on this scalper at the auction.  

Ken Clemons of D&L Equipment Inc. came to the auction to review the equipment.  

Steve Gondringer (L) of Gondringer Enterprises, based in Missouri, caught up with Josh Kratofil of Iowa-based Cantera Aggregates at the auction.
