Doosan Portable Power has introduced the Tier IV Final-compliant P250/HP185 portable air compressor, featuring dual pressure and dual flow. The “two-in-one” model delivers the pressure and flow typically supplied by two units in a single air compressor, making it ideal for countless applications including general construction, abrasive blasting, pipeline pressure testing and powering multiple hand-held pneumatic tools.
The dual pressure/dual flow air compressor operates at either 250 cfm at 100 psi or 185 cfm at 150 psi. The variable pressure and flow settings are controlled with a simple push-button keypad, allowing the operator to change from a low-pressure to a high-pressure setting in one easy step.
“The P250/HP185 provides the flexibility and variable settings needed to perform a variety of applications with one machine,” said Josh Goodman, assistant product marketing manager, Doosan Portable Power. “It’s a cost-effective, obvious choice for those who want to expand capabilities while controlling cost.”
The P250/HP185 is powered by a Deutz D2.9 Tier IV Final-compliant engine with a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) aftertreatment system, which is virtually maintenance-free. Not only does the unit include a high-performance engine, but it also comes equipped with a first-of-its-kind quiet package design, replacing the standard engine-mounted mechanical fan with four variable-speed electronic fans, resulting in significant noise reduction and lower fuel consumption.
Overall operation of the P250/HP185 is simplified with a digital display and LED backlit gauges, providing full machine status and fault codes.
The P250/HP185 exterior comes with the same quality engineering expected from Doosan products. Features include corrosion-resistant polymer fenders and endcaps to ensure a longer lifespan for the unit, bolt-on folding A-frame drawbar for towing stability, and road-ready running gear and lights.
The P250/HP185 is backed by a 1-year/2,000-hour bumper-to-bumper warranty, a 2-year/4,000-hour engine warranty and a 2-year/4,000-hour airend warranty. An optional 5-year/10,000-hour extended warranty is available if genuine Doosan fluids and filters are used at recommended maintenance intervals.
