The C185G offers contractors the cost savings of a gas-powered model with the durability of a diesel-powered unit.
Wed October 14, 2015 - National Edition
The Doosan Portable Power C185 gasoline-powered portable air compressor produces 185 cfm at 100 psi and offers the power and portability needed to meet a variety of applications, including powering handheld air tools, sandblasting, sprinkler and irrigation line blow-out, cable laying and pipeline testing.
The C185G offers contractors the cost savings of a gas-powered model with the durability of a diesel-powered unit. Powered by a 2.5-L, fully-electronic, fuel-injected Kubota engine, the C185G defies the common conception that a gas-powered unit is less fuel-efficient than diesel, offering a comparable runtime of eight hours at full load. Achieving stronger durability than a traditional gas-powered unit, the C185G engine was built on a diesel block that has been made gasoline-applicable.
Helping deter inadvertent diesel fuel fill is a gasoline-only fuel cap which has a fill neck designed to prevent diesel fuel, accompanied with a Gasoline Only decal on the fuel tank.
The air compressor’s cool-box design keeps internal package temperatures low protecting internal components and offering protection for any tools which are being stored in the unit’s storage system.
