Doosan Portable Power has joined the mission to find a cure for breast cancer by making three pink products available to the North American dealers. Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer and is the leading cause of cancer-related death in women worldwide, according to the American Cancer Society.
A newly branded P185 air compressor, G25 mobile generator and LightSource Compact (LSC) light tower have been painted pink to raise breast cancer awareness within the industry and support the Charlotte Affiliate of Susan G. Komen For the Cure, the U.S.’s leading breast cancer awareness and research organization. All Doosan Portable Power dealers in the United States and Canada will have the chance to purchase one of the three pink machines to support the cause along with making a donation to the Komen Charlotte Affiliate.
Doosan Portable Power is showing its support by donating $2,000 per pink machine model, with a guaranteed total donation of $6,000 to the Komen Charlotte Affiliate.
The pink Doosan Portable Power products were on display to the public during the NASCAR Dollar General 300 Miles of Courage race on Oct. 14 and the Bank of America 500 on Oct. 15 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. The Dollar General 300 Miles of Courage race sported a pink theme to raise breast cancer awareness and raise funds for the cause. Also, Doosan was the primary sponsor on the Joe Gibbs Racing number 11 driven by Brian Scott. The race also honored 300 breast cancer survivors.
Doosan Portable Power also is providing support for finding a cure by making pink merchandise available at www.doosanstuff.com. The Komen Charlotte Affiliate will receive 10 percent of all sales of the pink merchandise sold through the Doosan Portable Power Web site.
